The Sporting Media had an interaction with Gaffer Mateus Costa on the eve of their trip to the Highlands.

Speaking about the semi-finals Coach mentioned “The away goal advantage helped a lot; it was always playing in the back of everyone’s minds and made us believe that it’s possible. In the away match we were more focused and usually once you get a slim lead the reverse fixture is always difficult. Mumbai were coming at us with all they had.”

He went on “Full credits to the boys, they grinded out this result, some missed chances could have sealed the game for us but then our boys wanted to win so badly they made sure to come out of this with 3 points.”

Speaking about the away match Mateus Costa said “We have to be focused; we play the away leg first. Aizawl have been a team to watch out this season. They play beautiful football and most importantly are unpredictable. They will be coming into this match high on confidence after trouncing the Champions BFC.”

“But we have done our homework; we have a plan and will stick to it. They are good no doubts there but we are in this to win it ourselves. There are two games before one of us reach the finals. We want to get the maximum out of this season. When all this ends, hopefully we can find ourselves something beautiful.”   Signed off gaffer Costa.e w
