Sporting will be taking on DSK in a Super Sunday I-league clash at Balewadi Stadium tomorrow. After three consecutive draws The Flaming Oranje will be looking to come out with 3 points from this fixture. Buoyed with the victory against East Bengal, DSK would be looking to continue their winning run and pull out an upset over Sporting.

Speaking to the media Sporting Gaffer Mateus Cost said “DSK have a fine set with a good technician behind. These kinds of matches are always tricky, but we have seen them play and made our observations.”

When quizzed about losing the 2 goal lead against BFC Costa said “In matches like that there can be a moment which changes the complexion of the game. We conceded a soft penalty and then Loveday picked up a red that was the defining moment. But we played well to keep them at bay in the entire second half at the same time coming close from taking the lead a couple of times.

When quizzed about the team combination Costa said “We have some concerns in our front line as skipper Odafa and in form Nicholas are nursing an injury back in Goa. Also our defender Loveday will also be serving his suspension for the red card picked up in the previous match.”

He continued “The training has been fantastic and the replacements have gelled in well, I totally trust my boys and we are confident of the 3 points tomorrow.”

Speaking about the match Densill Theobald said “It’s a very important match for us; we would like to get as many points as possible and try to finish high in the table. Also it’s important as a win here will be definitely a boost ahead of our home matches in the upcoming rounds.

A lot of Sporting’s success will be depend on their inform striker Marcus Mascarenhas who has been electrifying in their previous fixtures. With Odafa Okolie missing out injured local lad Victorino Fernandes should be getting a chance to showcase his lethal striking abilities. Over all the Sporting fans will be hoping that the team returns home with 3 points from Balewadi before they go in for a long international break.
